Lyrics

I Bought the Boots
(That two stepped out on me)
Written By: Lonnie Spiker DOC: 10-01-2025

Chorus
I bought the boots that two stepped out the door
I wore mine out from pacing back and forth
At least you’ll walk in comfort as you leave
I bought the boots that two stepped out on me

Verse
Buying things for you came so naturally
To see your eyes light up meant so much to me
Here lately they don’t give me a passing glance
Who’s eye’s will they get lost in when you go out to dance

Chorus
I bought the boots that two stepped out the door
I wore mine out from pacing back and forth
At least you’ll walk in comfort as you leave
I bought the boots that two stepped out on me

Verse
you carry your deceptive boots so they don’t make a sound
Then slowly climb in bed and quietly lie down
you cover up your conscience then fall fast asleep
And cool the heels I bought you for your pretty feet

Chorus
I bought the boots that two stepped out the door
I wore mine out from pacing back and forth
At least you’ll walk in comfort as you leave
I bought the boots that two stepped out on me
